Lock up your daughters Toto, we aren't in Kansas anymore

Darwinian adherents would have us believe that several millenia ago, out of the primordial ooze crept an organism that, through a number of natural selections, divisions and mutations became all the inhabitants of our increasingly warming planet and include the underwear clad social misfits affectionately known as bloggers.

Creationists would say, "God pointed his finger", the Earth pulled it and here we are nothing more than the Supreme Being's flatulence running around with free will and free minds. To God's disappointment, He provided us with the intellect and Al Gore to create the Internet and all we can do with it is look at porn and post blogs.

I subscribe to the idea of intelligent design in the development of this planet and everything on it except the writing of this blog. For you see, the content of this blog is derived solely from the thoughts and opinions of a middle-aged bald guy and will oft be typed after several libations.

The topics herein will be as varied and diverse as a Benetton advertising image and probably as well planned as twelve year old’s Friday night. Most postings will be political in nature as that seems to be the interest de jour and the more of you I can convince to read this drivel, the more minds and hearts I will be reaching. I will occasionally post about local Utah issues, our pets (both ours and the many fosters that come through our house), the skiing in Utah and what I had for breakfast.

I’ll make the effort to put a flood of new content on here in the coming days to provide both a foundation of information and help me tweak the settings and features of this page. I hope to have RSS feeds and subscriptions set up soon to make your access to my little corner of the ether (Can there be a corner in ether? Perhaps someone smarter than I will blog about that.) easier for you and the many you will soon be referring here.

If you have made it this far, there is hope. Surely, not the kind of hope in a matronly government caring for our every need that was just voted on last Tuesday. Just hope that the drivel here can keep your attention for a few moments several times a week.

Thank you for reading and please come back soon. In the meantime, I welcome your comments, opinions and dirty pictures.

Hilarious first post, BMT (which is not a Bacon Mayonnaise Tomato it's your initials), especially the part about 12 yr olds Friday nites. I love it.

I think I will enjoy reading this blog daily.

A guy older but not quite as bald as you.
